Dan was appointed as CEO of Joyce Corporation Ltd on 1 December 2020 and has a reputation as a values driven, people oriented executive with a collaborative approach. Dan was previously the Managing Director and CEO of Talisman Mining Ltd, an ASX listed mineral exploration and development company with a track record of creating shareholder value. Dan was appointed as Managing Director of Talisman in 2016, having been Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary since 2009. Dan’s prior background was in finance as CFO/General Manager Finance in ASX listed and large international organisations, including more than 17 years’ experience in the resource sector, including Xstrata Nickel Australasia, Jubilee Mines NL and Perilya Ltd. Dan is an Associate Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of England and Wales and a member of the Governance Institute of Australia and Australian Institute of Company Directors. He graduated from the University of Birmingham with a degree in Commerce and Accounting.

Tim was appointed Chief Financial Officer and Company Secretary of Joyce on 1 April 2021. With over 15 years of experience spanning multiple industries, Tim has built a career focused on strategic finance and transformation. He has held senior leadership roles including CFO, General Manager of Finance, and CFO Advisory Consultant. A Chartered Accountant who began his career at BDO Audit in Perth, Tim is also a member of the Australian Institute of Company Directors and the Governance Institute of Australia. He holds a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance from Kaplan. Tim brings to Joyce a dynamic and future-focused skill set, including process automation, big data analytics, and the enhancement of strategic reporting and governance standards. He is also a Non-Executive Director of Uplyft Ltd, a not-for-profit
organisation delivering services aligned with his personal values.

With an International management career spanning 35 years, John has held senior management roles in Fortune 500 companies, including Johnson & Johnson and Gillette. He has also worked for some of the largest privately owned companies in the USA, including Kohler and S.C. Johnson. With both consumer and commercially based senior business experience, along with an entrepreneurial drive, John has been able to acquire under-performing businesses (New Zealand Mint and Australia Kitchen Industries) and successfully plan and executed key growth strategies, that have not only turned these businesses around, but have established them as marketing leaders. Having jointly founded and led KWB Group, as Managing Director and a Shareholder, since its inception in August 2012, John has overseen consistent double digital growth (orders, sales, and EBIT) for the past 8 years.

Gavin Culmsee joined Bedshed at the end of July 2008. Prior to this, Gavin was a Retail Operations Manager for Freedom Furniture. A member of the Freedom executive team, Gavin’s role involved day to day retailing combined with strategic decision making. Gavin’s experience involves managing both company owned and franchise stores along with substantial distribution centres and a logistics network to support both. Gavin is a senior franchise and retailing executive with more than 30 years of experience in retailing at all levels and brings well developed skills at store network development, improving store performance, employee coaching and development.
